❖New Role
Click the "New" button to enter the new role interface, as shown below:
【Name】Set the role name, such as student, lecturer, and it is mandatory. Roles and users or groups can be the same name.
【Add/Edit User】It is the same as Add/Edit User with group management.
【Delete User】It is the same as the delete user of the group management.
【Add/Edit Group】It is the same as Add/Edit Group with user management.
【Delete Group】It is the same as the delete group of the user management.
【Save】The saved role will show to the role management homepage, and the role's icon is 。
【Cancle】Cancel new or edit role.
❖Build-in Role
Admin_role, groupAdmin_role, developer_role and everyone_role are the four built-in roles in the product, the built-in roles are displayed at the top in the list of roles.
【Admin_role】A user with the admin_role is equivalent to a super administrator, and has all resources and action permission.
【groupAdmin_role】A user with groupAdmin_role is equivalent to group administrators or child or affiliate administrators. Users with this role can access the Authorize User Interface for user, group, role and authorized editing. The user can access the group and user under his or her group, as well as her / his role, or create a new role. The user can delegate these resources and operations to the members of the group and her or her role through the user with admin_role to authorize what resources and operations she or he has.
【developer_role】When a user occupies most of the system resources, it may cause the system to respond slowly and cause inconvenience for other users to access the system, so the developer_role has been introduced to limit the upper limit of individual users' use of system resources. The developer_role is usually assigned to the user who create the dashboard, because in the creating dashboard stage, the dashboard itself is still in a state of change and instability, and the relevant production personnel operate more freely. The system will automatically limit the proportion of resources used by this role to maximize the protection of business personnel's access to other system resources.
【everyone_role】All users in the system have the default role of everyone_role. That is, all users have the default permission of the role of everyone_role. The default read permission on everyone_role are portal component, new table of connection action of action, dashboard action of action, component action of action, create data set of action, custom theme of edit dashboard action of action, view dashboard of action, upload from Desktop of action, image and theme. The default write permission on everyone_role are theme.
➢Note
The everyone_role cannot be added or deleted in users, roles or groups. When editing permissions on everyone_role will change the permissions of all users.
